European Rental Week 2025: Empowering the Future in Irish Hire

“Empowering the Future: Transitions, Sustainability, People.”

That’s the theme for European Rental Week 2025, an initiative celebrating the people, standards, and innovation driving our industry forward.

At Dromad Hire, we’re proud to take part in this year’s campaign — and to showcase how we’re already living those values every day through our commitment to safety, training, and sustainable growth.

    What Is European Rental Week?

European Rental Week is an initiative launched by the European Rental Association (ERA) to highlight the vital role that the equipment hire industry plays across the continent — from construction and maintenance to logistics and infrastructure.

Taking place this year from 13th–19th October 2025, the event unites rental companies, manufacturers, and industry professionals under one shared goal: to promote the value of rental as a sustainable, safe, and efficient solution for modern projects.

This year’s theme, “Empowering the Future: Transitions, Sustainability, People,” encourages hire companies to focus on three key areas shaping the industry — adapting to new technologies, advancing environmental responsibility, and investing in people.

For Dromad Hire, these aren’t just annual talking points — they’re principles that guide everything we do, every day.

How Dromad Hire Aligns with the Theme

    1. Transitions — Embracing Innovation and Energy Change

The hire industry is evolving rapidly, with technology and energy efficiency driving how companies operate.

At Dromad Hire, we’re embracing that change:

    • Smarter operations: We’re continually investing in systems that improve fleet management, uptime, and customer experience.

    • Energy transition: Our growing fleet of electric and battery-powered access platforms reflects our commitment to cleaner, quieter, and more efficient solutions.

    • Continuous improvement: We constantly assess new technology and processes that enhance safety, sustainability, and service.

We’re proud to be part of this industry-wide transition — leading the way toward a more innovative and environmentally responsible future.

    2. Sustainability — Extending Equipment Life and Reducing Waste

Sustainability has always been a natural strength of the rental model. By sharing equipment across multiple projects, the industry reduces manufacturing demand and ensures each machine is used efficiently.

At Dromad Hire, we take that one step further:

    • Quality maintenance: Every machine in our fleet is rigorously maintained, extending its lifespan and ensuring consistent performance.

    • Approved Ex-Rental programme: When machines leave our active fleet, they’re fully inspected, serviced, and sold on as Approved Ex-Rental units — giving them a second life while helping other businesses save on cost and reduce waste.

    • Energy-conscious operations: From our solar panels installed on our headquarters to reduced transport miles through smarter scheduling, we continually look for ways to minimise our footprint.

For us, sustainability isn’t just about green choices — it’s about building a smarter, more efficient way of doing business.

    3. People — Training, Safety, and Development

The people behind the equipment are what make the hire industry truly work. From engineers and drivers to hire controllers and sales representatives, every role plays a vital part in maintaining the highest standards.

Dromad Hire’s culture is built around that belief:

    • IPAF Rental+ Accreditation: Demonstrates our commitment to industry-leading safety, maintenance, and customer service standards.

    • SafeHire Certification: Recognised by the Hire Association Europe, confirming our dedication to health & safety, staff competence, and operational excellence.

    • Ongoing training & development: Our team regularly completes IPAF operator training, toolbox talks, and in-house skill sessions.

Because safe, confident, and knowledgeable people create better outcomes — for customers, teams, and projects alike.

    Why European Rental Week Matters

European Rental Week gives our industry a platform to celebrate progress — but it also reinforces the shared responsibility we all have to drive it forward.

For Dromad Hire, this week is an opportunity to highlight the pride we take in our work and the standards that set us apart — not just today, but every day.

European Rental Week 2025 is a reminder that the equipment hire industry is more than machinery — it’s about people, progress, and purpose.

At Dromad Hire, we’re proud to live by this year’s theme of Transitions, Sustainability, and People — through our SafeHire certification, IPAF Rental+ accreditation, investment in training and innovation, and commitment to a greener, safer future for the hire industry in Ireland.
