Dromad Hire takes delivery two new Skyjack 4740 battery scissor lifts, which were launched earlier in the year at Vertikal Days.

At only 1.19 meter wide the new 4047 models provide a working height of 13.80 meters, making them ideal for warehouses and factories with narrow aisles.


Speaking of the hand over Sky Jack Europe’s Sales Manager Glyn Goodwin commented “Dromad have always been very proactive when it comes to introducing new innovative machines to their fleet, and this only demonstrates the company’s commitment to deliver the most cutting edge products to their customer.”


According to Dromad Hire’s Darren Rowland “These new machines will provide that extra height wherea traditional 32ft just won’t reach and at almost the same width, they will be perfect for a lot of our existing customer applications that require extra height and now we can finally provide a solution.”

Dromad Hire takes delivery of multiple Skyjack machines

 

The delivery includes a range of battery scissor lifts ranging from 19ft to 39ft along with a rough terrain 9250 diesel scissor, as part of their ongoing investment plan throughout 2016.

 

Speaking of the hand over Sky Jack Europe’s Sales Manager Glyn Goodwin commented “Dromad have taken quite a number of units now throughout 2015/16, which obviously demonstrates their commitment to deliver the most up to date product to their customer. Dromad Hire Adds New Snorkel Lifts to Fleet - 08/07/16

Dromad Hire chooses Snorkel after a deal was concluded with Snorkel UK at vertical days 2016

 

The Dundalk-based company has taken delivery of two Snorkel AB38E machines.

 

These electric articulated boom’s provide zero emissions, zero noise and provide a 13.5m maximum working height and up to 5.9m of horizontal reach.

 

Dromad Hire managing director Seamus Byrne said: “We have been running AB38’s in our fleet now for some time, so the machine is already proven to us, Snorkel UK provide us with excellent backup and support so this made our decision over choosing other manufacturers a very easy one”

 

 

 


The new AB30E models further extends our product offering in electric boom lifts, which are increasingly in demand with our customers due to their specialised applications - particularly indoor use.”

 

As a electric boom, the AB38E’s have an ultra-tight turning radius along with hydraulic rotational platform and non-marking tyres, making it ideal for working indoors on sensitive flooring. The machine is just 1.49m wide for passing through doorways or in between buildings and has an overall height of under 2m.

New Specialised Delivery Truck For Dromad Hire - 05/07/16

New Specialised Delivery Truck For Dromad Hire


 

Dundalk based company Dromad Hire recently invested in a specialised purpose built truck from local Scania dealer Granco Ltd.


The new truck which was designed and built especially/specifically for the company will improve the nationwide distribution of plant and powered access equipment. 

 

The recent purchase is part of Dromad’s on-going investment plan throughout 2016.

 

Granco trucks based in Newry provided Dromad with the Scania unit and chassis, they also handled the whole process from start to finish working very closely with Sterling bodies in the UK.

 

According to Dromad Hire's managing director Seamus Byrne "The new lorry is simply being added to help improve our delivery speed and service to our customers. It has been built to the exact spec that we require to transport such a diverse range of plant and equipment, both safely and economically. The body was built and designed by UK based company Sterling GP and they didn’t fail to exceed our expectations, their service and backup was second to none”.

 

“As for Granco Ltd they already handle all our vehicle servicing needs, their customer focus, service and backup is probably the best in the country, and that is simply why we choose Scania"

 

The body is equipped with many of the latest innovations from Sterling including the Gridlock composite decking system that has a high grip self-cleaning surface and a fully galvanised finish on the entire body ensuring a corrosion free life and lower maintenance costs. 


Grant Owen, of Sterling Bodies states “We are delighted to be working with a high profile Irish company such as Dromad, and providing them with a tailored solution for their transport requirements”.
